Campaigning 2009

Why?
Climate change has become a mainstream topic: Everybody knows a least something about it, many fear it, some talk about it and hardly anything substantial is being done. This year in December, an international conference will take place in Copenhagen (Denmark) to talk about and hopefully adopt the successor for the Kyoto Protocol which expires soon. Copenhagen is a new change to agree upon concrete and binding political measures to stop climate change. It is also a change to add more countries to the process, which will increase its moral impact to fulfil the commitments that are made.
However, climate change has to take place on many levels of society: We want to give those people who cannot be present at international conferences a voice, because political frameworks and parameters, not just individual actions need to change!
How?
By making use of pictures, we want to visualize and voice political statements. This way, we can develop and discuss demands. Politics should be a discursive process in which everyone can take part- we want you to participate too!
And this is how it works: Take one of your demands on climate policies or think about a wish you have for the future. In a seconds step, consider how you can visualize this idea- take a picture (with friends, of a place, of an object, …), paint, digitalize, etc. Be creative! To make sure that your demand is easily understood you can add a slogan or a very short text. Afterwards, you just upload your demand (EXPLANAITION AND LINK TO FOLLOW SOON) and you’re done!
What for?
All picture and demands will be used for an online exposition. Decision-makers will be invited to explore it in a CO2-free way.
So let’s picture politics and proposals- take a picture with your green lenses!
